Mick Jagger and L’Wren Scott were engaged but they never wanted to get married. For thirteen long years, they were a loving couple and for Mick Jagger, that was something. Though it was never something for public discussion, theirs was a very strong relationship which is why it was such a shock that she committed suicide. A few days ago, she was found having hanged herself and the news is that Mick Jagger was devastated and the group has cancelled all its tours.
The vintage diamond engagement ring was first seen on her finger in India when she and Mick had gone to Rajasthan. This was in 2007 and though they never really affirmed it, people took it for granted that it was an engagement ring. She loved all things classic and antique so it was only natural that he got her a ring like that. She always wore the ring and never took it off, making it clear just how committed she was to the relationship with the 70-year old musician. The last time they were seen together in public was in December at the British Fashion Awards show and the ring was very much on her finger.
The latest news is that her will has been read and she leaves her entire fortune to Mick Jagger. The fashion designer’s body was discovered by her assistant and according to the will, she seems to have omitted the mention of her two siblings who have not been available for comment. One of the reasons she could have committed suicide is because of huge losses in the business and the London branch seems to have run up massive debts. Though there had been a press release saying that the news report was misleading, it still means that there were worrying financial problems. However, Mick for whom she was both friend and lover could just not understand why she took this step.
